DWI, OUI, superior and district court cases, domestic violence, habitual offender, all motor vehicle/license cases, felonies, misdemeanors and violations, as well as divorce/domestic relations are the areas of practice for Attorney Albert Hansen. Al Hansen is a 1991 graduate of Bates College, followed by a law degree from Delaware Law School in Wilmington, Delaware. He is licensed by exam in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Previously, Al worked as an assistant county attorney prosecuting cases for the government. He now represents individuals as a criminal defense attorney and family law attorney in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. Al has extensive courtroom experience with numerous jury trials under his belt. He is a member of the New Hampshire and Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, National College of DUI Attorneys, and is the former Vice Chair of the NH Bar Association Family Law Section. Al brings a broad level of experience to his firm, representing individuals and families in criminal, juvenile, and family law matters since 1997. Attorney Hansen lives near Portsmouth/Kennebunk with his wife and two children. In addition to spending time with family, Al enjoys skiing, cycling, and backpacking. In 1992, Al successfully "through-hiked" the entire length of the 2,157-mile-long Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. He brings a compassionate and energetic approach to all cases he handles.
